INSURANCE
If Driving your own car into Mexico, you must have Mexican insurance. Do not skip this! Print your policy before leaving and carry it in your car once you are in Mexico. We’ve use Baja Bound Insurance in the past and it was easy.

CURRENCY
You will need Mexican Pesos for the toll roads in Mexico. We typically convert about $300 USD, but make sure you have at least $100USD in pesos.

Call your cellular provider and make sure you have high speed data in Mexico for this trip. You will need fast data to use GPS.
Directions
There are many ways to get to Valle de Guadalupe, but the best and most beautiful way way is to take the coast. This is one of the most beautiful drives in the world.
From the San Ysidro boarder crossing, set your GPS to Rosarito and make sure you select the costal route and take the toll road to Ensenada. Once there, set your GPS to your hotel in Valle de Guadeloupe and continue down the cost. The route we are suggestion is colored in blue on the map below.
